Description:
In a world obsessed with normative metrics and idealized bodies, traditional digital tools often act as barriers to human expression. This talk introduces Accessibility 2.0, a shift from chasing productivity to prioritize true creative agency.
By reclaiming “crip” as a framework for innovation, we explore how digital fabrication and machine learning are co-designed with artists living with motor impairments through projects developed in Shanghai and other parts of China.
Drawing on critical disability theory, this talk will share examples where robots, AR glasses, and machine learning are put to the service of inclusivity in local Chinese communities and university spaces.
Open to all DKUers, including students, faculty and staff.
